Catapult 7.10.0 has been available for a little while now but we hadn’t yet published a blog article due to a pending fix to our WordPress email plugin.
With this announcement I would primarily like to re-highlight a feature we mentioned in our post about Catapult 7.9.0: A change to how the Catapult Poller and the Exodus51 subsystem work together allows you to schedule the poller to start sooner after an IPL. This feature, described in Knowledge Base article 10466, was very well received and has been further improved in this release.
There are also a few other changes and fixes:
- Additional poller information is now included in administrator emails.
- A fix for a problem where the poller service was checking instance schedules too frequently.
- The poller configuration will now correctly update when changes are made while it’s active.
- A fix for a problem where invalid characters in a file path might cause the console to issue an unhandled exception error.
Please visit the Catapult Updates page to review the complete list of enhancements and fixes.
Please keep in mind that we are able to provide full support for approximately the last three releases of Catapult. If you are running Catapult 7.72 or older, we recommend you make plans to upgrade as soon as possible.
And finally, for those who are wondering: Yes, Catapult 7.10.0 is newer than Catapult 7.82. We recently switched to a new version number formats. Sorry for the confusion!
